The Bible Society in Turkey was established in 1820, and has made Scripture available in languages and alphabets used both in the Ottoman Empire and the modern Turkish Republic. As the main Bible distributor of the country, it translates, publishes, and offers the Bible and related material at affordable prices to all Christian and non-Christian communities of Turkey. Its inter-denominational board is planning to open a Bible museum and an information center in the near future.

The Bible Society is operating in 204 countries and territories around the world. Its aims are to make the Bible available throughout the world in a language people can understand and at a price they can afford.
